The Goonies Animated Poster

This is an animated poster for the movie, The Goonies. The movie is full of adventure, booby traps, and treasure. 

I included some key items from the movie that were not only memorable to me, but to others I surveyed. Each item leads into the transition of the next scene and next item.

Everything in the animation is hand drawn with a looped texture. This gives the animation a weathered look that fits the movie’s theme perfectly.

I utilized the augmented reality app, Artivive, to help display the poster in a way that would be interactive and entertaining to viewers. Anyone that viewed the poster was able to open the app, point their camera at the poster, and watch it come to life.
